I see some of your competition offering packages for half of your price?

They aren't our competition. They deliver an inferior product targeted at inexperienced agents only concerned with price. Many take quality shortcuts — using the Matterport scan to produce stills, skipping FAA Part 107 certification, or operating without liability insurance. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Do you do Matterport?

Yes. We're a certified / trusted Matterport Service Partner with the top-of-the-line Matterport camera, so you get the highest-quality 3D virtual tour available.

How is Rare Air Drone Service different from any other drone company?

Why do you refer to yourselves as "RAD Services"?

RAD is short for Rare Air Drone — and easier to say. The dictionary definition of "rad" is "very appealing or good." Works for us.

Seems like I hear a lot of negative news about drones?

The news media tends to highlight the accidents and controversy because that's what sells. Most accidents come from inexperience and poor decisions. The media often misses the ways drones are improving lives — search and rescue, agricultural yield, infrastructure inspection — with new applications emerging every day.

Is it legal to use drones?

We're 100% legal. We carry FAA Part 107 certification for commercial operations, are extensively trained licensed pilots, and we're fully insured.

Where are your prices?

Standard residential real estate packages and a la carte items are on our pricing page. Pricing may adjust over time and for market conditions. We're happy to provide a professional estimate for custom packages and projects outside residential real estate.

Can you shoot video in 4K?

Yes. Our standard video capture is Full HD; we can deliver 4K (Ultra High Definition) on request.

How long does it take to turn around a job?

Photos under 24 hours typical · Slideshows under 48 hours · Video productions under 72 hours · Matterport virtual tours under 48 hours. Expediting fees may apply for faster delivery; larger jobs may take longer to ensure quality.

What if I need a high-resolution picture for a flyer or website?

For real estate clients, a high-resolution photo package is included free of charge. Where others may deliver under 1 MB images, ours are typically near 10 MB — fit for printing, blow-up, and reuse.

Do I need to do anything to put pictures on the MLS?

No. We deliver them MLS-ready (4:3 ratio, under 5 MB) per the local IRES and RE Colorado standards.
